Wednesday Web Resource: Expat Forum

There are lots of resources on the web for moving to England, so I'm going to start sharing them on Wednesdays. These will only be truly useful resources, not filler.

Expat Forum
The most helpful and thorough forum I have found for moving to the UK is at expatforum.com. Here you can ask that crucial question you just can't find the answer to and get a quick answer from someone who has been through the process themselves, or is more familiar with it than you.

Once you've assembled all your documentation and think you are ready to submit your application, you can post here and get feedback to see if you may have overlooked something (or gone overboard!). Reading others' document checklists is a great way to figure out what you should include yourself.

I've signed up and started asking questions about our move to England, but I've also stuck my nose in at the Canada forum to answer questions there. A bit of payback for the great help I'm receiving. Please do the same; people will appreciate it.

The forums are the main attraction here, but check out the news stories too under "Expat News Stories" (green navigation bar on the right) or from the home page. Very timely articles from their staff of writers.
